Does it really take 4 men to dig a hole?

Sounds like a simple question, right?  Have you ever driven by a road construction crew and wondered why so many people are standing around doing virtually Nothing?  Driving out of my subdivision this morning, I look to my right and see 4 men 'working' on the big construction project going on right now. Now, I could see if all 4 men had a shovel, pick ax, or other digging tool in their hands - my answer would be "Yes"...but this is what I saw:      1 man in the hole with a shovel      1 man in the hole watching the man in the hole with the shovel      1 man right up out of the hole watching the man in the hole, watching the man in the hole with the shovel  and 1 man on the other side of the street watching the man outside of the hole, watching the man in the hole watching the man in the hole with the shovel. I'm sure there was a valid explanation why it was really taking 4 men to dig that hole, rather than just the one that was ACTUALLY digging the hole.

Our Flag

So, driving to work this morning I saw Our Flag.  The beautiful Red, White and Blue.  I'm filled with pride when I see it waving in the sky; I'm filled with distain when I see one tattered!  What to do, what to do....  If you see a flag that should NOT be flying because it is tattered - what do you do?  I feel that I should call the company flying the flag and 'inform' them that they are disgracing our flag by flying it in that condition.  But is that within my rights or responsibility?  There lies my conflict......so I do nothing and keep feeling bad when I see an unkept flag. Why fly a flag if it's tattered and torn.  Respect the flag.  If you can't / won't replace when needed, then don't fly one at all, or at least take it down when it's no longer presentable.

Opinions.......Everyone has their own.....

Opinions.  You've heard the saying - Everyone has one, and they all Stink!  Why is that?  Many people believe if you don't have the same opinion as them, you are wrong.  No, you aren't wrong, you just think differently. With all the hot topics out there that can have varying opinions, no one can be right about everything.  Everyone has a right to their own opinion on any topic or news story.  I read a lot of news on the Internet.  I also read a lot of comments ON the news on the Internet.....  Many of the comments bother me because they are so negative pointed to the person the article is about.  Regardless of the topic, people can find negativity in virtually EVERYTHING.  It's ridiculous.  Why is it that people can't just be happy for people of fame and move on? Katie Couric - doesn't she have a right to decided to change jobs?  Why are there so many people that just want to trash her anonymously on the Internet??  Is it jealousy?  Do they PERSONALLY know
